  Dr. Lydia Staggs:

Dr. Staggs is originally from Fort Thomas, KY.  She graduated in 1999 from Eckerd College with a BS in Marine Science.  In 2004, she received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University.  After graduation, she came to work at Bayside Hospital for Animals.  Where she worked not only with our compaion animal clientel, but also assisting Dr. Townsend with the marine mammal work at Fort Walton Beach's Gulfarium.  In 2006, Dr. Staggs began working part time as the staff veterinarian for Gulf World Marine Park in Panama City Beach, FL.  She currently sees appointments at Bayside Hospital for Animals on Friday.

Besides her love for marine animals, Dr Staggs has a special interest in wound management, oncology, and dermatology.  She currently is the proud mother of 2 cats that she treated and adopted while at Auburn.
